Construction and Technical Specification of the Door.
- Door Frame (outer frame) - Made from 1 mm thick GI sheet. Frame shall be of size 105 mm x 50 mm x 1 mm of Single Rebate.
- Door shutter - Shutter shall be of 35 mm thick, the top and lower skin shall be having 0.6mm thick G.I. Sheet and shall be joint by roll formed snap fitting groove on the stiles. Top & bottom may be formed on the Bending Machine. A Thermal barrier shall be used between two sheets. The hollow portion is filled with core material of solid Polyurethane Foam using special purpose machine. The density of the foam shall not be less than 40 Kg / m3 .
- Hinges - Door shall have 3 Nos hinges, having 3mm thick flat, SS pin and fastened to frame with 9.5 mm G.I. Screws and special back-up plate arrangement.
- Fittings and Fixtures of various types like Mortise Lock , Aldrop , Tower Bolts, Handles , Door Closures , Door Stoppers etc., shall be either fixed on the door or provisions made for fixing later at the site, as per customer’s specification. Seasoned Wooden Inserts shall be provided at specified locations for fixing the above fittings.
- The Frame and Shutter shall be given a Surface Coating of Polyurethane / Epoxy Primer ( Two Pack Systems ) or equivalent, with good abrasion resistance and compatibility with finish paint.
- The frame shall be provided with a bottom tie which will get concealed by at least 40 mm below the finished floor. Alternatively, the frame section shall be extended at the bottom also to act as a threshold for external and entrance doors. This threshold will be embedded by 25 mm into the finished floor.
- All doors shall be provided with Z-type detachable holdfasts made of 25 x 3 MS flats. In cases where the door is fixed adjacent to the column, special type of holdfasts shall be provided. The holdfasts are supplied along with the doors & they are to be fixed to the doors at site.
